Instant Coffees are safe from sugar tax!

Have you noticed that since 2018 sweetened beverages' prices spiked in the market? This is due to the excise tax on this type of products.

But, hey our instant coffees are safe from this tax! This includes ground coffee, instant and pre-packed coffee products.

Our lawmakers considered a 2013 survey in which coffee ranked as the 7th most consumed food item among the Filipinos and that 90% of consumers of 3-in-1 coffee mix are low-income earners. Hence, the exclusion of this commodity from tax.

Hurray for on-the-go and budget conscious people.
